Agility is an exciting dog sport in which a dog, directed by a handler, negotiates an obstacle course. Typically, the obstacles include jumps, tunnels, a raised walk, an A-frame, a teeter-totter, and poles through which the dog must weave itself. Successful completion of the course requires close teamwork between the dog and the handler.
In the process of training an agility dog, handlers acquire skills such as pacing, strategy, and effective communication with their dog.
