Flyball is an action-packed (and noisy!) sport wherein two teams of four dogs compete in a relay race. Each dog on the team must jump over four low hurdles on their way to a box which, when stepped on with the front paws, releases a tennis ball. The dog then catches the ball in its mouth and speeds back over the hurdles to the start/finish line, where the next dog eagerly awaits its turn.
Flyball is an exciting activity for dogs and their handlers, as well as an excellent spectator sport.
